Lands Management

The Quinault Division of Natural Resources Lands Management Program helps acquire and consolidate

non-trust and trust lands on the Quinault Indian Nation lands.

Mission

To assist the Nation in its efforts to preserve the Quinault Indian Nation lands as a social, cultural, political, and economic unit for the benefit and prosperity of members of the Quinault Indian Nation.

The Lands Management team assists the Quinault Tribal members, other trust land owners and Indian land users, and the Tribal government with individual trust property research and recordation, purchases and exchanges, appraisals, road and utility easements, leasing and permitting, and transfers of land from fee to trust, or trust to fee status.

The program goal is to reduce fractionated ownership on the Quinault Indian Nation lands, establish ownership records and a reference system, and assist with land issues involving economic development projects.
